APDCL breaks all its bill collection records!

The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) which has been running at a huge loss for a long time has had a massive transformation after the new power minister took over. The minister had announced a number of steps to increase the revenue collection in a bid to revive the company which in a downswing.

As such, APDCL has stepped up its game and broke all its bill collection records by collecting a hefty Rs. 508.48 crore for the month of June, which is 100 crores more than the revenue collected in May.

However, the electricity demand in June was Rs. 513.67 crores, and the collection stood at Rs. 508.48 crore.

According to the data shared by APDCL, the amount collected for electricity in the past five months of 2021 stood as follows: May Rs. 396 crore; April Rs. 398 crore; March Rs. 495 crore; February Rs. 395 crore; January Rs. 433 crore.
