In a huge boost to the education sector of Meghalaya, education minister Lahkmen Rymbui has informed that the first ever government engineering college in the state will become functional from 2022.
“Shillong engineering college of will start functioning from the next academic session,” the minister said.
“We are doing all that we can to ensure that the functioning of the college begins by next year,” Rymbui further said.
The Shillong Engineering College which will be affiliated to the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) is being constructed in the campus of Shillong polytechnic at Mawlai.
