Russia-Ukraine War : Operation Ganga : Modi Holds Meeting To Bring Back Indians from Ukraine

Amid Ukraine-Russia ongoing war, the whole Nation is worried about Indians who are stuck in Ukraine. Operation Ganga is launched to evacuate Indians from Ukraine. The Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi chaired a high level meeting, to review the ongoing efforts under Operation Ganga to bring back Indians stranded in Ukraine. Special Envoys including Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju and Gen (Retd) VK Singh will travel to neighboring countries of Ukraine to evacuate Indians stranded in Ukraine. The Prime Minister said that the entire Government is working round the clock to ensure that all Indian are safe there.
The Prime Minister noted that the first consignment of relief supplies to Ukraine to deal with the humanitarian situation on Ukraine’s borders would be dispatched tomorrow.

It is also noted that under Operation Ganga India has successfully brought back more than 1800 Indians from Ukraine. It has also set up 24×7 control centers to assist in bringing back the Indians through the borders crossing points with Hungary, Poland, Romania and Slovak Republic. A Twitter a helpline named OpGanga helpline is also issued.
