Assam Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday announced that the under-constructed extension of Ganeshguri flyover, connecting the RG Baruah road with Srimanta Sankardev Path will be inaugurated on October 22.
The 476-metre extension of the Ganeshguri flyover is being built under the State Own Priority Scheme (General) with a financial outlay of Rs 58.76 crores.
Earlier, he mentioned that the work for a T-shaped flyover in the Supermarket area shall be completed before the Assam polls due in mid-2021.
The state government has already started construction work for the nine-foot over bridges in Guwahati.
