On the eve of Vijayadashami on Monday, more than 70 people took out a bike rally wielding sharp weapons terrorizing the public of Tinsukia District, Assam.
Many of them claimed to be members of Bajrang Dal, a pressure wing of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Soon the rally caught the attention of the authorities and many were arrested and had their vehicles seized. The group denied organizing the rally and stated that they were coming back from an ‘Ashtra Pujan’ ceremony.
The rally was taken out in the morning on Monday when the whole nation was celebrating Vijayadashami. They were caught on camera rallying on bikes through the streets of Tinsukia and most of them were clad in Saffron Kurtas while flaunting swords and other sharp weapons.
Ashtra Pujan or Ayudha Puja is a traditional part of rituals for Navaratri which ended on Sunday.
