Election campaign for the second phase of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) will end on Tuesday.
The second phase of the BTC election for the remaining 19 constituencies of Kokrajhar and Chirang districts.
Counting of votes will take place on December 12, unraveling the fate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), UPPL, Congress, AIUDF, and few Independent candidates.
The first phase of the BTC election was commenced in a very peaceful manner with about 77 percent of voters casting their votes in 1739 polling stations of Udalguri and Baksa districts.
Finance Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma also acknowledged the voters of Baksa and Udalguri for coming out during this pandemic time and casting their precious votes.
The NEDA President stated that this time the BJP party will win in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) election. He also requested the people of the Kokrajhar and Chirang districts to cast their votes for the BJP party.
