In an effort to cleanse the state of unlawful weapons, the Assam Police on Wednesday morning led an operation and recovered illegal arms and ammunition from Chirang district.
The operation was carried out at Kumarsali village under Bijni Police station at Chirang district under Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). During the raid, the police team was successful in recovering an A.K series Rifle along with two magazines and 26 rounds of live ammunition of 7.62 mm.
