Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission (AERC) has revised the tariff of APGCL, AEGCL, and APDCL.
The revised tariff will come into effect from April 1, 2021. A press release states that there will be an overall decrease of 20 paise per unit as compared to the existing tariff.
The main highlight of this order is that energy charges of LT Domestic and LT Commercial categories have been reduced by 20 paise per day. Charges for all other categories have been reduced by 15 paise per unit. The fixed/demand charges have been retained at existing levels for all categories.
Assam Electricity Regulatory Commission (AERC) Chairman Kumar Sanjay Krishna on his official Twitter page stated,
“As per today’s AERC notification, a new set of tariff rules have been defined, with reduction in electricity tariffs, effective from 1st April, 2021.”
