Assam Rifles along with Custom Preventive Force on Wednesday conducted two successful operations against smugglers.
The joint team was successful in recovering 745 bags of Areca Nuts worth Rs. 1.31 crores. Based on specific inputs, the search and recovery operation was carried out in General Area Tlangsam-Rauntlang, Lianpui, Kelkang, and Khuanleng road in Mizoram.

In another event, Assam Rifles unit based on specific intelligence apprehended an individual with 39.26 grams of Heroin, worth Rs. 15.70 lakhs. The smuggler was illegally transporting the Heroin. He was apprehended at General Area Tuibong in Churachandpur, Manipur.
