British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday cancelled next week’s visit to India due to the surge in COVID-19 cases in the country.
“In the light of the current coronavirus situation, Prime Minister Boris Johnson will not be able to travel to India next week,” a statement released by Johnson’s office, said.
On the other hand, the Ministry of External affairs in a statement stated that due to new development, the two sides will be holding a virtual meeting in the coming days to launch plans for a transformed India-UK relationship.
