Bharatiya Janata Party national Vice President Mukul Roy is all set to return to the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
The final decision regarding the joining of Mukul Roy will only be taken after his meeting with the TMC top politicians in Kolkata.
Incidentally, there had been speculation all week over Roy’s potential return to Trinamool Congress. Mukul Roy was one of the foremost members of the TMC party.
Three heavyweight Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders of West Bengal – Mukul Roy, Shamik Bhattacharya, and Rajib Banerjee were not present during the recent party meeting. This absence of the three top BJP leaders of West Bengal has been sparking a buzz in West Bengal’s political scene.

West Bengal Bharatiya Janata Party, on the other hand, has shown indifference over Mukul Roy’s possible return to Trinamool Congress.
The former Union Railway Minister was once a veteran leader of the Trinamool Congress. He was also a close aide of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
He had a falling-out with the TMC supremo after being named an accused in the Narada sting operation case back in 2017.
After being suspended for six years over “anti-party activities”, Roy eventually left the TMC, giving up his Rajya Sabha seat in October that year.
The veteran politician joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in November.
