Top Lashkar terrorist Mudasir Pandit has been killed in an ongoing encounter with the security forces in north Kashmir’s Sopore village.
Apart from Mudasir Pandit, two more other Lashkar terrorist have been killed during the encounter that began on Sunday evening at Gund Brath village.
The operation started on Sunday following a tip off.
As per information provided by Jammu and Kashmir Police, Mudasir Pandit was involved in the killing of three policemen, two councillors and two civilians recently.
Apart from these, he was also involved in several other terror-related crimes.
Kashmir Police IGP, Vijay Kumar speaking to media stated that this encounter is a big win for the security forces.

The other two have been identified as Mudasir and Israr Abdullah.
It has been informed that Abdullah was working as LeT Chief of Sopore.
From the last few days, joint teams of army, Jammu & Kashmir police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were conducting joint operations in the vicinity of Sopore.
The joint operations were conducted following the terror attack on police in Sopore on June 12 in which two policemen and two civilians were killed.
