Assam police on Sunday gunned down two militants belonging to United People’s Revolutionary Front (UPRF) in a fierce gun firing in Karbi Anglong district.
Assam Police DGP, Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta informed, “Two AK 47 rifles were recovered from their possession.”
Meanwhile adding he said, “UPRF militants were actively working under the instruction of poaching and drug cartels of Churachandpur in Manipur.”
