Assam Legislative Assembly was postponed till 3 pm on Friday after opposition members interrupted the House proceedings over the issue of COVID-19 vaccination.
Countering the opposition, Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said, “I have already directed the health department to provide door-to-door vaccination in the state. Despite all efforts being done by the department.”
Later not satisfied with the reply by the health minister, Congress started to raise slogans demanding door-to-door vaccination drives in the state.
Meanwhile, Speaker Biswajit Daimary then adjourned the house till 3 pm.
