Peasant leader Akhil Gogoi has raised the demand for a package of Rs 10 crore from the AIUDF party to achieve its functions and outcomes to enjoy credibility in the eyes of the country’s citizens for launching his party Rijor Dol before the elections.
A huge amount of money was demanded in some election campaign to fortify the foundation of the people’s party but the AIUDF party refused to pay the money, said by Assam MLA Aminul Islam.
MLA Aminul Islam also said, that Akhil Gogoi never wanted to form an alliance with the AIUDF party. But after several discussions, when Gogoi did not give the money to the AIUDF party in an expected manner, the people’s party went against the alliance and helped the BJP by projecting its party candidate to the constituency which was a general alliance candidate.
While addressing the media, Gogoi refused to accept that he asked for Rs 10 crore from the AIUDF party.
