On the incident of not allowing MLA Rupjyoti Kurmi to enter the Chief Minister’s meeting, RP Sharma said, “Rupjyoti Kurmi did not think this would happen. You lose value when you leave your place. Rupjyoti was unstable even when he was in Congress. He lost his prestige by joining BJP. I am happy to be in Congress.” Former BJP leader Ram Prasad Sharma said my honor is intact in Congress.
On the other hand, responding to Pijush Hazarika’s remarks on Bhupen Bara‘s poem, the senior leader said, “Minister Pijush Hazarika should mind his tongue…Pijush Hazarika‘s father was also a Congressman. Bhupen Bara’s poetry has rocked state politics. The Congress will deliver these poems to every village.’’
