Sherman Ali Ahmed assured the people of Baghbar that eviction will not take place in the Baghbar constituency till he lives. Addressing the gathering at an event, Sherman Ali said, “As long as I am alive, you sleep peacefully. No Eviction in Baghbar LAC. Don’t be afraid, you’ve voted for me. I’ll not allow any harm to come while I am alive. Rest assured of you. ’’
Sherman Ali further said, “I have once again told those who spread this news in Dispur, in different places – you should not do it. We have been together as brothers and sisters for a long and we will stay that way in the coming days… If Allah keeps me alive, if anything were to happen, I will make sure to take the harshest action against it. I will not let the people behind such an action go free. I tell you this, you sleep peacefully. ’’
