Every year on 4th February the whole world celebrates World Cancer Day. Cancer the dreadful disease like a parasitic plant roots in our body and slowly kills us. The World Cancer Day is organized by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) to raise awareness of cancer to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. The theme of World Cancer Day 2022 is “close the care Gap”.
According to the report Cancer cases in India increased at average annual rate of 1.1-2 % during 2010-19. Around 13,92,179 cancer cases in India are reported in 2020. According to the Cancer Statistics Report among men 94.1 per 100,000 individuals and for women it was 103.6 per 100,000 individuals for the year 2020.
