Today is the birth anniversary of the inventor of the chicken pox vaccine Michiaki Takahashi. The Google Doodle today marked the 94th birth anniversary of the Japanist virologist Takahashi. Takahashi’s immense effort is remembered by the whole world when Google paid its tribute by illustrating this special doodle. The Doodle was llustrated by a Japan based artist Tatsuro Kiuchi.
Michiaki Takahashi in 1974 invented the 1st extremely effective vaccine “Oka” That was developed to target the varicella virus that causes chickenpox. In 1986 it was approved by by the World Health Organization, in Japan. Around in 80 countries the vaccine was distributed and millions of children had been administered.
