Assam Police has once again arrested one Al-Qaida from Howly. Recently, the Assam Police have apprehended Bangladeshi Al-Qaida Jihadi, Mohammad Suman as well as five jihadis from Barpeta.
The man arrested by Barpeta police is identified as Maminul Rashid of Hajipara village in Howly city. He is further kept in custody for questioning. Maminul Rashid is the chairman of the Madrassa called Shaikhul Hind Mahmudul Hasan Jamiul Huda Islamic Academy located in Jasihati Para village of Howly in Barpeta.
Since 2019, an Al-Qaida Jihadi named Mohammad Suman, a Bangladeshi national has been involved in the web of jihad through teaching.
Police sources said Maminul Rashid is yet to be arrested.
Meanwhile, in collaboration with the special branch of Assam Police, Barpeta Police, Mohammad Suman alias Saiful Islam alias Haroon Rashid, a Bangladeshi national and a vicious Al-Qaida Jihadi, came to light after he fell into the police custody.
