Around 20 thousands of TET teachers came to stage protest against the Government demanding the regularization of jobs. The All Assam Primary TET Association staged to gherao the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan directorate at Kahilipara.
It is noted that a discussion held between the TET teachers and the Government regarding the regularization of jobs and it turned out to be sour. Later they staged their protest against the Government.
Moreover many teachers who came to Guwahati from the other parts of the state by train had been detained by Police at Guwahati Railway Station.
The All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and four other organizations have their support to the All Assam Primary TET Qualified Teachers’ Association.
