An initiative has been announced by the Government of Assam that is to set up an Agricultural University in Nagaon district.
An important meeting had been proposed regarding this at Nagaon Deputy Commissioner’s Office. The meeting was held on Tuesday.
In the meeting the primary discussion was about the land allotment for setting up the University. The decision has been taken to build the university at Silangani, in Nagaon.
The initiative will definitely provide a special dimension to the development of the State agriculture sector. Regarding this initiative the Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit Nagaon on 16th April.
