A gang of fake ULFA Extortionists were apprehended in Golaghat by the Golaghat Police on Friday night.
According to the report an information was received of extortion threat by ULFA-I. After the information shared a strict operation has been conducted and after the full 12 hours of chase the Golaghat Police were successful apprehending the miscreants.
Further investigation is underway.
It is noted that Assam Police has been gained many praiseworthy success in eliminating crimes. Alleged persons from many places of Assam linked with Maoist and NLFB (National liberation Front of Boroland) have also been apprehended by the Assam Police. bOn the other hand suspected linkman of the banned militant outfit United Liberation Front of Asom – Independent (ULFA-I) has also been arrested in March in Guwahati.
