The Covid-19 cases in Delhi-NCR have started to rise again. 3 students enrolled in two private schools in Ghaziabad have been tested Covid-19 positive. One of the schools situated in Indrapuram in Ghaziabad has been closed for 3 days.
According to the Chief Medical Officer of Ghaziabad Dr bhavtosh Shankhdhar said “Their Covid-19 test results were known while the students were at homes and not in school. We will be carring our tests and vaccinations in the schools”. The closed school has moved to provide an online mode of teaching for a week.
While asked if the students have been diagnosed with the latest Covid variant XE, the senior officer said that the details are yet to be ascertained.
The school was closed for three days, but thereafter it will remain closed for Eastern Holidays and reopen from the next Monday.
On the other hand 16 including 13 students and 3 teachers tested Covid-19 positive in a school in Noida.
“We have decided to go inline and sanitize the school completely. Students will return for offline classes from 18th April. Those infected would carry their RAT (Rapid Antigen Test),” a school source said.
It is also mentioned that Uttar Pradesh currently logs 293 active Covid-19 cases.
