Alia Bhatt is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming film Brahmastra. She shared a video of Ayan Mukherjee on her Twitter handle, telling her fans that Brahmastra will release on 09.09.2022. The video is about the different visions of Brahmastra.
Earlier, while sharing the trailer video of Brahmastra, Alia expressed that she had been so nervous that she had watched the trailer 25-30 times and how much the film meant to her. She further added that “It’s a big deal. I haven’t slept for a week now. People have asked me many questions about Brahmastra all these years.”
She continued by telling people that the movie’s director, Ayan Mukerji, is her “wonder-boy” and that she has complete faith in him.
Fans show utter excitement for the film’s release. One of the fans replied, “You’re going to shine in front of the hater’s eyes!!”. Another fan responded, “this movie is also available in English, eye for worldwide collection.”
The movie’s production began in 2017 and wasn’t completed until earlier this year. Now, it will debut on September 9, 2022. In a recent interview, Ayan admitted that the film’s production dragged on so long that he worried he might pass away. “For many years, I thought this film would never get made, and I’ll die making Brahmastra. So many people asked me why the film was taking so long and why is it so expensive. They asked me to make another romantic film. But, I always believed that if we got Brahmastra right, it would be very pioneering for our country. The film would find a large audience in the country. That energy has caused many positive things to happen,” he added.
Brahmastra is a mythology-based fantasy film with Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor playing the lead characters, Isha and Shiva. In the film, Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of a Professor named Arvind Chaturvedi, Nagarjuna is an archaeologist named Ajay Vashisht, and Mouni Roy is the antagonist.
