On Monday, Jagat Prakash Nadda, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who is now in Tripura, will travel to Guwahati in Assam. J P Nadda will inaugurate the BJP North East Office building in Uzan Bazar at 5 pm, among a number of other events in Guwahati.
The BJP national president will offer his prayers at the Kamakhya temple when he gets to Guwahati at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Nadda will preside over a crucial meeting at the ITA Machkhowa at 6:25 p.m.
Earlier, Assam BJP chairman Bhabesh Kalita was quoted by the reporter as stating, “On August 29, JP Nadda will visit Agartala and Guwahati. He will first visit Tripura and then arrive in Guwahati. At around 4 pm, he will inaugurate the BJP North East office building in Guwahati. We will also arrange a meeting on this occasion.”
Nadda arrived in Tripura’s Agartala on Sunday morning and was greeted warmly by CM Saha and other state BJP officials and activists at the Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport. He later presided over a conference of state office bearers in Agartala. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha was also in attendance.
“Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the meeting of the BJP leaders from northeast is going to be frequent and we hope the NE BJP office here will be the nerve centre of politics,” a BJP leader said.
