Flipkart, India’s largest e-commerce platform, has announced the launch of a hotel booking feature, Flipkart Hotels, on its website to expand its offers in the tourism sector.
Customers will be able to book hotel rooms at over 3 lakh domestic and foreign properties through Flipkart Hotels. Flipkart adds that by launching hotel services, it hopes to provide clients with features such as flexible travel and booking policies, as well as easy EMI alternatives, to make travel more reasonable and budget-friendly.
Cleartrip’s API powers Flipkart Hotels. Users can also take advantage of third-party offers through the site.
“We are excited to launch Flipkart Hotels on the Flipkart app which will provide access to affordable hotel stays convenient for the customers. Flipkart Flight is on a steady path of growth in the travel industry since we entered this space. With Flipkart Hotels, we are strengthening our commitment to provide a better experience and superior service to our customers across metros and beyond tiers,” said Adarsh Menon, Senior Vice President in Flipkart.
To assist clients with user-related questions emerging from the hotel booking service, the firm has established a dedicated customer care centre.

These advancements are boosting the travel industry, which showed a 70% increase in the last quarter compared to a 60% CAGR over the previous two years. According to Flipkart, the following festive quarter is likely to be even stronger for the whole travel market.
