In the latest snub for the couple since Queen Elizabeth II’s death, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been demoted. The position of Harry and Meghan on the Royal Family website has been changed.
The profile pages for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been pushed to the bottom of the Royal Family’s list. Typically, the senior working family is ranked first, such as King Charles III, Queen Consort Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales. They are followed by other minor working Royal Family members such as the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.
The royal website concludes with the embattled Duke of York- Prince Andrew, but Prince Harry and Meghan are only one step ahead of him.
The couple’s dedicated pages were featured beneath Prince William and Kate Middleton’s, who have now been promoted as Prince and Princess of Wales. They were pushed to the seat directly behind Princess Anne after they stood down from their duties in January 2020.
The couple, who now reside in the United States, spent 11 days in England following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Their connection with the royal family, however, is alleged to have deteriorated.
“I think it’s very sad [that] in the days Harry was here, there was an opportunity given they were just a couple of hundred yards away from each other for a meeting or dinner or gathering of some sort where they could actually just try to thrash things out,” The New Royals author Katie Nicholl stated.
