13th June, Guwahati: On Friday, a dangerous and unruly situation was created by the inmates of Mazbat College Quarantine centre.
Some of the inmates burned beds and other properties of the Quarantine centre presumably for not allowing them to go home after three of the inmates were tested positive for Covid-19. Mazbat Revenue Circle Officer Dhritiman Das came to calm down the unruly situation.
The Covid-19 case toll in Udalguri rose to 65 after 4 people from Mazbat has been tested positive.
Mazbat College in Udalguri district, Assam was converted to a Quarantine Centre due to Covid-19 pandemic.
