Guwahati, 15 June: In a bid to settle the dispute over Chinese military building, talks are being held at the Brigade Commander and Battalion Commander level between India and China in Eastern Ladakh in Galwan Valley area and Hot Springs.
According to Army sources there has been limited disengagement of troops between India and China at more locations due to the continuous rounds of talks going on between the two countries. Sources said that there has not been any considerable build-up activity by both sides and Chinese aggressive behavior has also been toned down after the June 6 talks between Military Commanders followed by other round of talks.
According to sources, no episode of any showdown between the two troops has been reported after the talks began between the two armies. The two sides agreed to hold parleys at the Patrolling Point 14 (Galwan Area), Patrolling Point 15 and Hot Springs at the Military Commanders’ meet.
The Chinese Army had recently pulled back its troops from the Galwan Valley, PP-15 and Hot Springs in Eastern Ladakh area by 2 to 2.5 kilometers. The Indian side has also withdrawn some of its troops and vehicles from these areas.
