Guwahati: Due to ceaseless rainfall, a massive landslide took place near Kahilipara Power House today morning.
As per reports, a man is trapped under the debris after the landslide. The man has been identified as Bharat Kalita. The NDRF and SDRF teams are trying to rescue the trapped person.
Three more people were injured during the landslide. The injured were identified as Usha Bora, Golapi Kalita and Hem Kanta Bora. Luckily, both wife and son of Bharat Kalita are safe.
According to sources, Usha Bora is the landlord of the house where the landslide hit. Bharat Kalita resides there as a tenant. Meanwhile, Usha Bora and Golapi Kalita had been rescued and were admitted to Hayat Hospital.
The Additional Commissioner of Police, Himangshu Prasad Das also came to inspect the landslide incident.
