News Desk: In a historic decision to abate the problems of Industrial set up in Assam, the state cabinet in order to ease out the process has approved an ordinance.
The hurdles of industrial set up have been removed which included Permission, Clearance or licence to convert and agricultural land into an industrial one. As per a tweet of Chandra Mohan Patowary, the land will be converted for industrial purpose with just the submission of a self-declaration.
The bold decision of the Government has been claimed for the encouragement of Entrepreneurship or Startup. But Assam being a place filled with outsiders as business leaders in different fields, it has become a threat to the indigenous people of Assam with the long term consequences of losing of lands by the indigenous people.
The initiative with an intention to support entrepreneurship and industrial set up is starting to threaten the indigenous farmers who depend on farming for a living.
Hence the consequences of the decision will be revealed as it has become a question to the Government in approving an ordinance at this time of pandemic and if it will be fruitful enough.
