News Desk: Satya Pal Malik has been transferred as the Governor of Meghalaya. He will replace Tathagata Roy. Roy, the former Governor has completed his five-year tenure on the gubernatorial post.
Satya Pal Malik was earlier the Governor of Goa. A Rashtrapati Bhavan communique also confirmed that Malik has been transferred and will be appointed as Governor of Meghalaya.
The communique also stated that Governor of Maharashtra will discharge the functions of the Goa Governor in addition to his own duties.

Malik will take over the post from Roy. Tathagata Roy served as the Governor of Tripura for three years and then served as the Governor of Meghalaya for 2 years.
