India reaches another peak of success by achieving the highest single tests. In the last 24 hours, the total tests done are more than 11.7 Lakh. This is India’s highest recoveries in a single day. In the last 24 hours, there is a recovery of 68,584 COVID-19 patients. The total number of recoveries is nearly 30 Lakh (2,970,492).
Also, the Recovery Rate of India among COVID-19 patients is 77 percent (77.09%). While total COVID-19 active cases are 8,15,538. The total number of recoveries is 21.5 Lakh more than the active cases. This is 3.6 times more than active cases. The actual high recoveries mean that the actual caseload of the country is only 21.16% of total positive cases.
The seamless efficient patient management is only due to effective clinical treatment in hospitals, home isolation. Other effective measures are the use of non-invasive oxygen support, improving ambulance services.
Now, the Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of the country is far below the global average (3.3%). The CFR of India on September 3 is 1.75%. In the last two days, India is conducting more than 10 Lakh tests per day. Due to this, India is witnessing an unprecedented surge in daily testing. In the last 24 hours, 11,72,179 tests were done. Also, the cumulative tests are more than 4.5 crores (4,55,09,380).
The daily testing of India is one of the highest in the world. Now, the mortality rate in India is very low.
The rise in the number of testing is only due to the expansion of a number of testing lab networks. To date, India has a total of 1623 labs. These include:
Real-Time RT PCR based testing labs. Government: 465 and Private: 358
TrueNat based testing labs. Government: 523 and Private: 155
CBNAAT based testing labs. Government: 34 and Private: 88
