Twitter appears to be sinking after reports of mass employee resignations surfaced. The micro-blogging site’s situation was already precarious after Tesla CEO Elon Musk took over. Musk made a number of abrasive decisions, including the firing of several top executives.
Musk recently warned employees that things were going to get tough at work. Employees had to sign an online form agreeing to work “long hours at high intensity.” Those who did not sign the form would be asked to leave but would be compensated with three months’ pay.
Many employees did not waste time in submitting their resignations. And when things went bad, netizens did what they do best: they made memes. While some of those memes will make you laugh, others are quite concerning in light of the microblogging site’s future.
Elon Musk let go of top executives such as Parag Agarwal and Vijaya Gadde. He gave employees 36 hours to decide whether they wanted to stay and build.
