Another successful operation led by Assam Police against illegal drugs. The joint operation led by DIG of police Parthasarathi Mahanta today seized 0.5 kg of heroin at the ISBT, Guwahati. An individual associated with the network has also been arrested.
The heroin was seized when it was transported by bus from Manipur. The seized heroin has a market value of around Rs 4 crore. The drugs were seized from a bus following a piece of inside information.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma commended the city police via a tweet.
