Another achievement of the Assam police has been acknowledged when in a joint operation the Assam Police has successfully terminated a transportation of illegal weapons. In joint operation carried by the Assam Police, 7th Assam Rifles and 5th Assam Rifles Dimapur illegal weapons have been recovered in the entrance of the State financial institution of India at Khatkhati at round 4:30 pm on Wednesday. The bus was heading towards Mon district of Nagaland.
The unlawful arms have been carried secretly inside a cartoon of apples in a bus. Additional two manufacturing unit made of 0.32 pistol, two magazines and two walkie talkies have been recovered from the bag.
The owner of the bag has not been recognized yet. Further investigation is going on.
