In yet another success in its crusade against smuggling activities, 100 Bn BSF under the aegis of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force apprehended two Indian miscreants along with one Pistol & rescued cattle head on the intervening night of 06/07 April 2021 from the bordering area of the village Gitaldamaricha in the Sitalkuchi area of the Coochbehar in West Bengal.
On the intervening night of 06/07 April 2021, BSF troops of Border outpost (BOP) Lalbazar of 100 Bn BSF carried out a special operation in the general area of village Gitaldamaricha close to the Indo-Bangladesh border. On 07 April 2021 at about 0230 hrs, the operation party observed suspicious movement of miscreants along with cattle heads moving towards the Indo-Bangladesh International Border from the India side. BSF troops immediately rushed towards them and on seeing the BSF troops the miscreants tried to flee but alert BSF party apprehended two Indian cattle smugglers along with one Pistol (Made in the USA) and rescued cattle heads.
Apprehended cattle smugglers have been identified as Mohabir Mia (26 Yrs), Lukmaan Mia (38 Yrs), both hailing from Coochbehar.
