Kamrup City District Excise Department recently launched a raid on liquor production at Adingri and Kalikhola near Maligaon as part of its drive against domestic foreign illegal liquor in Guwahati city.
According to sources in the Excise department said several domestic liquor manufacturing bases were destroyed in the operation conducted by Guwahati Excise Circle on the directions of Kamrup city district Excise superintendent Manvi Das on a public complaint.
However, the miscreants involved in the preparation of liquor were able to escape before the operation began. The raiding team managed to seize and destroy more than 1,500 liters of the chemical substances used in preparing the liquor and more than 150 liters of domestic liquor were destroyed.
