Two forest guards were attacked in Nagaon’s Laokhowa Wildlife Sanctuary after they tried to stop a fight between drunk picnickers.
The incident took place when the two forest guards named Jahirul Islam and Pappu Patar tried to stop a picnickers fight, who were fighting among themselves after being drunk.
According to the two guards, the situation became intense after a lot of people got involved in the fight. The guards tried to intervene to maintain a law and order situation instead, the furious crowd turned to the guards in duty.
An FIR has been registered in this regard and both the guards are now being treated at a medical center.
