Guwahati police seized 4.5 kilograms of heroin worth of Rs 31 crore from a truck near Nalapara area in Guwahati on Monday. According to the police the drugs was brought from Myanmar via Moreh in Manipur. It is noted that the border area of Myanmar has been identified as the largest producers of drugs.
The team led by JCP Partha Mahanta conducted a night operation where they have arrested two accused named Md Idomi and Nawaz Khan suspected to be a part of an international racket.The Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma praised Guwahati Police via Twitter.
