Indian couple with 45 pistols held in Delhi International Airport: Report

The Indian couple with 45 pistols is identified as Jagjit Singh and Jaswinder Kaur have been arrested by the customs officials at the Indira Gandhi International Airport today for having 45 pistols with them.

Investigation Process:

An investigation is underway in finding if the guns are original or not by the NSG officials. In the preliminary report NSG has confirmed that the pistols are ‘’fully functional’’.

About the Victims:

The couple confirms that they had returned to India from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam on July 10th and has been kept under surveillance. Jagjit Singh was caught with the pistols in two trolley bags given by his brother namely Manjit Singh. Manjit Singh reportedly gave the bags to Jagjit Singh in Vietnam after landing in the country from Paris, France. Manjit fled from the airport after handing over the bags. According to the Customs Official, the wife ( Jaswinder Kaur) helped her husband remove and destroy the tags of the trolley bags that had the pistols.

The pistols are worth Rs. 22.5 lakh. The couple admits of previously bringing 25 pistols to India from Turkey.
