IPS officer Rashmi Shukla who is also the former commissioner of the State Intelligent Department, Maharashtra has approached the Bombay High Court seeking quashing of the FIR registered against her that is lodged for illegal phone tapping. The FIR was lodged for tapping the phone calls of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and NCP leader Eknath Khadse. Shukla was booked under Section 165 of Indian Penal Code and Section 26 of the Telegraph Act.
Shukla approached the Bombay High Court claiming that the FIR was lodged with malafide intent and politically motivated.
It is also mentioned that another FIR has also been registered against Shukla for the illegal phone tapping of the President of State Congress Nana Patole.
