A daylight robbery that took place in the heart of the city Guwahati has created sensation around the area Rukminigaon. Bike borne miscreants allegedly robbed Rs 2 lakh from a person in front of an SBI Bank, Rukminigaon branch that situates in the Rukminigaon area of the city.
The victim was identified as Ghanakanta Das. The victim was walked out of the SBI bank withdrawing Rs 2 lakh when two bike-borne miscreants snatched the bag from Das and ran.
The entire incident was caught on the CCTV camera. A case was registered by the victim at Dispur Police Station.
It is also mentioned that there are many incidents that have been reported in the city in recent times. In January, bike-borne miscreants allegedly looted Rs 3 lakh from two workers of the Indane in front of KFC, Lachit Nagar.
Public should be alert and careful on road while carrying huge amount of money.
