Reports of two young girls from Guwahati city joining ULFA Independent have surfaced. The two young girls who joined ULFA Independent are reportedly from Guwahati, Uzan Bazar, Kharghuli. The two young women have been identified as Saraswati Das and Rumi Deka.
Notably, the two girls had been missing since they left their homes on February 15 to reach Dibrugarh. According to a certain source, the two young girls arrived at ULFA camp on Wednesday. It has also come to light that they have joined under the supervision of a top ULFA leader of upper Assam.
Saraswati Das use to work in a shop at Fancy Bazar. Poet Parag Kumar Das’s books ‘Sanglat Fenla‘ and the ‘Nikhidha Kalam‘ has been found in their houses. Both these books were based on ULFA United. Saraswati Das has not only read those books but has tried to send certain scanned pages to various people, according to her mother.
At a time when Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Paresh Baruah were to sit over a meeting, these kinds of events of people joining in the organization have created an unusual situation in the state. The sudden upsurge of young people’s interest in ULFA Independent puts a big question in the minds of the people. The commander-in-chief of the ULFA Independent, Paresh Baruah is yet to comment on these events.
