Assam police have been actively chasing down drug activities in the state. On Tuesday night, Karimganj Police seized 11kg of ganja from a passenger bus in the district along the Assam-Tripura border. On the basis of inputs received, the Kamrimganj district police had set up a Naka checking at the Churaibari area in Karimganj district along the Assam-Tripura border and intercepted a passenger bus that was coming from the side of Tripura.
The police found a red color bag and also found the owner of the bag. After the interrogation, the man revealed that some ganja was also kept hidden behind the backside of the bus where the police found 3 more packets of ganja. He was immediately apprehended by the local police. The person arrested has been identified as Lodhan Bhokta and he is from Jharkhand.
