Two drug mafias were apprehended with enough quantity of drugs at Namtola at the Assam-Nagaland border of Sonari in Charaideo district. The duo had been selling drugs for more than six months. One of the two detained is a woman. And the other named Trinath Parida alias Laipata of Namtola, Elephant camp. The house of the under-trial women drug dealer is at the Mon district of Nagaland.
According to sources, the police, over a tip, raid in collaboration with the local village guard, managed to nab the two drug mafia along with the illegal heroin.
It is to be noted that Charaideo district has become a hub for illegal drug bases extending from Myanmar’s international border via the Mon district of Nagaland to Charaideo.
