The Indian students who were in their final year of their under-graduate medical courses pursuing in Ukraine had to leave the country for reasons like Covid-19, impact of Russia-Ukraine war etc. For those who have completed their studies and granted certificate of completion of course on or before 30 June will now be allowed to appear in the Foreign Medical Graduate Exam.
In the statement released, it is mentioned that after qualifying the Foreign Medical Graduate Exam, such foreign medical graduates are required to the undergo Compulsory Rotating Medical Internship (CRMI) for a period of two years to make up for the clinical training which could not be attended by the medical graduates as they had to leave the country for the issues and also to familiarize them with the practise of medicine under Indian conditions.

“The foreign medical graduates will be eligible to get registration only after completing the CRMI for two years”, it added.
