The 2022 Assam Janani Puraskar 2022 has been presented to Zublee Baruah, a popular singer of Assam who has made a special contribution not only to the music community but to society as well. The award was presented at a special function held on Tuesday in line with International Women’s Day at Pramod Talukdar Memorial Old Age Home at Beltola Survey in Guwahati.
The Award was presented to the distinguished singer by 107-year-old Subhadra Devi, a senior resident of an old age home, at a meeting chaired by advocate Arpita Saikia. Moreover, the award includes a certificate, a memorial, a Seleng Chadar, and a Japi.
Zublee Baruah was elated to receive the award and termed the award given by the 107-year-old grandmother as the best award of her life. He said the award will inspire her to continue her efforts.
