Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the prominent artists of the Indian film industry who transforms any script into a super hit movie. On Tuesday, he announced that he is all set to play a doctor in Anurag Kashyap’s sister Anubhuti Kashyap’s first film, Doctor G. This project marks his third collaboration with production house Junglee Pictures after hits such as ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2017) and ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ (2018).
While talking about the movie, he said yes instantly after reading the script because the theme of the movie is completely unique and fresh. The theme is based on an original concept that will make people laugh surely. He is looking forward to wearing the doctor’s coat for the first time in his career and deliver a meaningful message to the audience. Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh and Saurabh Bharat have written the script, who interestingly is a doctor-turned-writer and has drawn ideas from his experiences in medical college.
Ahubhuti makes her debut as a feature film director with this project said that she is stepping in filmmaking industry with all her passion. She is looking forward to work with the versatile actor Ayushmann and Junglee Pictures too. It is a campus comedy-drama which appeals to both the younger and the family audience equally.
Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen with Amitabh Bachan in Gulabo Sitabo of Shoojit Sircar which was released on Amazon Prime in June 2020. He made his debut in Bollywood with Sircar’s Vicky Donor in 2012, is also best-known for his performance in films like AndhaDhun, Dream Girl, Bala, Article 15, Dum Laga Ke Haisha and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
Before Doctor G, Khurrana was shooting for his upcoming romantic drama, ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ opposite Vani Kapoor.
